Abner W. Gibson was born June 15, 1881 in Rapides Parish, LA, and died September 04, 1970 in Hattiesburg, Forrest Co., MS. He was the son of Uriah Melton Gibson and Minerva Williams. He first married Rosa Lee December 24, 1903 in Pearl River Co., MS, daughter of Thomas Uriah Lee and Elizabeth Williams. She was born April 04, 1881 in Poplarville, Marion Co., MS, and died March 04, 1933 in Wiggins, Stone Co., MS. He later married and divorced Hattie Bounds.
