He was the son of Soloman and Eldy Williams. He married Catherine Terrell September 7, 1854 in Harrison Co., MS, daughter of Josiah T. Terrell and Lucena Swilley. She was born in 1834 in Mississippi. After Lewis died, she married James A. Gammill November 10, 1863 in Harrison Co., MS. The last record I have found for her is the 1870 Harrison county census.
