Baulch Junior School was a private boys school in Park City, Kentucky from 1946 through 1952. It was founded by my uncle, Ernest Franklin Baulch, who served as the school's headmaster in the old Mentz Hotel. My father, James Homer Baulch, served as the business manager and assistant headmaster. Together "Mr. B" and "Mr. J" instructed and mentored the boys with basic education as well as providing a spiritual foundation for them. Their wives, Nelle Venable Baulch and Madie Gibson Baulch, also provided instruction.
The best view of life at Baulch Junior School can be found in the school's two promotional booklets (note that these were produced with high PDF compression; if you wish to see a higher quality PDF format, please contact me directly):
Sandi Gorin, 2008-2009 first vice president of the South Central Kentucky Historical and Genealogical Society and editor of their quarterly publication Traces contributed an article on Baulch Junior School in its Spring 2009 publication (pages 20-24).
